idasse

Born in 1955 in Infulene, province of Maputo. Her drawing, painting and ceramics. Was in high school Manuela Sena, John Paul and Anthony Bronze as teachers.

In the course of 1979 is encouraging cultural of the Center for Cultural Studies, with Malangatana Manhiça and Sunday. Under the guidance of Antonio Quadros complete the course in Graphic Communication. Works in the National Film and establishing there the Department of Art.

Since 1982 is to devote himself exclusively to art. She has designs for covers of books and literary magazines and newspapers. Joined the Movement artistic Charrua. It is a founding member of "Artists against poverty" .

John Kotze was born in South Africa and now lives in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Jorge Dias

Jorge Dias was born in Maputo in 1972.

He completed a medium level course in ceramics at the National School for Visual Arts (ENAV). In 2002, he graduated in sculpture from the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

He is founding member of the Contemporary Art Movement of Mozambique – MUVART.

Since 2003, he writes theoretic essays on the art of production in Mozambique and has contributed to the theory of the more recent productions. He wrote articles for the newspapers “Noticias” and “Meianoite”, the MUVART blog and for the electronic magazine “Artecapital”

Exhibitions:

  • He was the curator for the Mozambique at the Madrid Fair – ARCO’06 and the Lisbon Fair in 2004 and 2008. He was the curator of the Contemporary Art in Mozambique Exhibitions in 2004, 2006 and 2008.
  • He was co-curator of the Bienale TDM”07 “A Maquina qye Queria Voar” and curator of the Bienale TDM ’09 “Espaços de Hoje: desafios e limites”.
  • He held solo exhibitions and participated in collective exhibitions in Mozambique and abroad.

Christopher Stephen Canhavoto, known as Kester was born on 15 July 1966 in Zandamela, Inhambane Province. After completing secondary school in Inhambane, Maputo where he came to the Course of Mechanical Designer.

Begins to be part of the artistic world since 1997, in Maputo, where he participated in several group exhibitions and workshops.
