Fuviano dos Santos
Geraldo Aldair (Geraldo Aldair Ângelo da Conceição Scarlett), nasceu em 1993.
Formou-se na Escola Nacional de Artes Visuais (ENAV). Participou em exposições colectivas dos alunos da ENAV no BCI em 2013, 2014 e 2015.
Gonçalo Mabunda was born in 1975 in Maputo.
In 1992, he started working as gallery manager at the Núcleo de Arte.
In 1995, he participated in Ujamaa IV as assistant of the south african artist Andries Botha.
In 1996 he participated in a three months course in metal and bronze sculpture at the Natal Technikon in South África.Since 1997 he works as a full time artist.
He has recently participated in the Global Clinton Initiative 2008, which was commissioned by the prestigious glass-maker Daum to create a series of glass sculptures which will be part of a collective exhibition on the occasion of the reopening of the New York Museum of Art and Design.
Most of his sculptures are made from disactivated arms which were stocked and hidden during the long civil war which divided Mozambique.
Gonçalo has for a number of years worked on the design of a Chief´s chair, inspired by the african ethnic traditions. The chair represents also a critic of the present african governments who often manipulate tragically armed violence to reinforce their power.
