João Tinga was born in Maputo in 1957.
His interest in painting started in the youth painting contests in the seventies.
He participated in the Youth Contest in Lisbon in 1970, where he came in second place and obtained a honorary mention.He started his artistic career with the support of the painter Samate.
João Tinga held a number of solo exhibitions and participated in collective exhibitions in Mozambique and abroad, namely in African countries, Europe, Canada and China.

Jorge Dias was born in Maputo in 1972.
He completed a medium level course in ceramics at the National School for Visual Arts (ENAV). In 2002, he graduated in sculpture from the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
He is founding member of the Contemporary Art Movement of Mozambique – MUVART.
Since 2003, he writes theoretic essays on the art of production in Mozambique and has contributed to the theory of the more recent productions. He wrote articles for the newspapers “Noticias” and “Meianoite”, the MUVART blog and for the electronic magazine “Artecapital”
José Cabral was born in Maputo in 1952.
He learned photography with his father who was an amateur photographer and film projectionist.
