b. Maputo, 1984. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 2008.

The video The Curtain received an honourable mention prize at TDM Bienal’09. Lectured Drawing at the Instituto Superior de Artes e Cultura in Machava from 2010 to 2012. Participated in the Temporary Occupations 20.10 project installing charcoal drawings and the video Papel (Role) at Minerva Central book shop in Maputo. The artist took part in the São Tomé & Príncipe Art and Culture Bienal VI in October 2011. In 2012 she collaborated with Cornelia Enderlein on Between there and here at the Germany-Mozambique Cultural Institute (ICMA) for the MUVART’12 Bienal.

Born in Matalana, Marracuene district, in 1936. Attend primary school in Matalana and then Marques Loureço the early years of the Industrial School.

In 1959, became professional artist, thanks to the support of the Portuguese architect Miranda Guedes (Pancho), which sold the garage to studio and you adquiruiu two paintings a month, so that they could keep. In 1959, exposed the first time in a collective house in the metropolis in Lourenço Marques.

Held its first single in 1961 with the Association of Economic Organizations also in Lourenço Marques. Fellow was in 1971 by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Worked in the engraving Engraving - Cooperative Society of Gravores Portuguese, and in the ceramic Widow Lamego Ceramics Factory. It was one of the creators of the National Museum of Art. He was the President of the Association of Cultural Center Matalana and President of the General Assembly of Kulungwana-Association for Cultural Development.

Since 1961, he realized more than a hundred of exhibitions in four continents in the following countries:

He made a number of panels and murals for public spaces in Maputo and Beira and abroad, namely: Johannesburg (South Africa), Oklahoma (EUA), Bolonha (Itália), Medellin (Colombia), Termoli (Itália), Bahia (Brasil) . He made a panel for the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. He made panels for the Pavilhão da África da Expo ´92 e Expo´98. He made a 20m high sculpture in iron and cement for the Mabor factory, which has been declared UNESCO world heritage.

He received many prizes and was decorated by the governments of Bulgary, Netherlands, Portugal and Italy.His work is represented in various national and international museums as well as in private collections.

He died on 5 january, 2011
