The “Colecção Crescente” (Growing Collection) project was launched in 2011.
Inspired by the south african "The Creative Block" poject, participating artists are invited to explore different styles in a fully free and creative manner, using 18x18 MDF panels, which are provided by Kulungwana.
Interest in the project has been growing and 78 artists, some well known and other emerging talents are participating in the 2012 edition.
The “Colecção Crescente” project provides the public with an oportunity to start and increase their own private collection through aquiring little by little original

Exhibition of three painters and three sculptors.
The theme of the exhibition is life in the circus.

MUVART 2012 is an international and collective project of artistic expression. Its objective is to promote research, innovation, reflection and exchange of experiences related to contemporary art.
MUVART 2012 will be held from 1-30 August in 7 different locations in the city of Maputo, involving art and cultural institutions and schools.
At the Kulungwana Gallery the following artists exhibit their works: Berry Bickle, João Graça, Jorge Dias e Suzana Medeiros.

LINHAS em FORMAS - FORMAS em LINHAS
“ Lines in Forms – Forms in Lines” , collective exhibition of design and sculpture of artists Titos Pelembe and Famós
The exhibition which title means “ Once upon a time............” has two series of photographs.
The first part are images which are a replica of photographs which will be exhibited on a permanent basis in the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, capital of Sweden.
The photographer Sérgio Santimano, currently living in Sweden, was invited to decorate the surgical section of the Karolinska University Hospital.
The images transmit, in the words of Sérgio Santimano, the “vitality, energy and beauty of the Mozambican people”. With the support of the Swedish Embassy in Mozambique, the Works will be donated to the Central Hospital of Maputo to be on display in public areas.
The second part of the exhibition are photographs related to the 20 years of Peace (4 October 1992-2012) and picture the results of the war and the reconstruction.

Collective exhibition by Sitoe and Cármen Muianga.
Paintings and installation are on show.
Cármen and Sitoe have intenational experience, having studied fine arts in Cuba and Portugal respectively. Both have participated in international exhibitions.

Is an exhibition of texts, in tribute to the writer Luís Bernardo Honwana, who turned 70 on 12th November.
Excerpts of the stories in his work ”Nós Matámos o Cão Tinhoso” are exhibited on the walls. One of the most emblematic stories “As Mãos dos Pretos” appears in full.
The initiative promoted by Kulungwana is in recognition of one of the most important Mozambican writers, who at the age of 22, wrote an important work, which reinvented Mozambican literature.
